Education Modules 1–4
Modules 1 – 3: Allergy and Sensitivity Education for Every Health Practitioner
Module 1 — Allergy ABCs
Module 2 — Food Allergies and Sensitivities
Module 3 — Inhalant and Other Allergies and Sensitivities
Modules 4A & 4B — How to Run a SET-DB™ Practice
Once purchased, I will send you an invitation to view Module 1 via email. You must always access the link from the email as that's how Google keeps track of who has access and who doesn't. You can't bookmark the page. Send me an email when you're done and I'll send an invitation to take the quiz. If you're not interested in the certificate of completion, I'll send an invitation to view the next Module. You may repeat the quiz if needed until you achieve a score of 70 or greater (and it's obviously an open-book test).
If you purchase Modules 1–3 and later wish to purchase 4A and 4B, and you're a SET-DB™ practitioner, let me know and I'll send an invoice for $200.
It took nine months to research and prepare the Modules. I hope you enjoy them.
Modules 1–3 are $300. All five are $500. Order from the Order Page.
Thanks and I look forward to helping you learn about allergies and sensitivities.
Dr. Teryl Boothe
- Why allergies are on the rise in North America and Europe.
- Introduction to the immune system: the basics of the system that comes pre-installed to help our bodies fend off pathogens that would like nothing better than to harm or kill us.
- The basics of B-cell and T-cell immunity
- Which cells of the immune system are critical to our bodies for developing antibodies to foreign invaders.
- How we develop tolerance to foods so we can eat them without developing allergies and sensitivities.
- What the five types of antibodies do to protect us.
- All about histamine and other signaling molecules and their effects on our bodies when we have allergies.
- How allergens passing through the gastrointestinal tract can cause symptoms anywhere in the body, now or days after ingestion.
- The incredibly severe symptoms chemicals released by immune cells called cytokines can and do cause.
- Immune complexes: how they form, where they go, and what happens if your body doesn't get rid of them.
- The basics of how the body comes to think parts of itself are foreign invaders (autoimmunity).
- The Load Phenomenon and its impact on immune function.
Module 2 — Food Allergies and Sensitivities
- A clear explanation of the 4 types of hypersensitivity, the immune cells and antibodies involved, and what health conditions can stem from them.
- Anaphylactic allergies are explained, including areas of the body typically affected and medical management.
- How our bodies learn to tolerate new foods and the parts of the immune system involved.
- The importance of Vitamin A to oral tolerance.
- How problems in the digestive tract can cause allergies and sensitivities.
- A clear explanation of the difference between a true allergy and a sensitivity.
- Did you know the nerve, immune, and endocrine systems work together?
- How the nervous system can control the immune system, and how that applies to how SET-DB™ can work so well.
- Research that shows how cells of the immune system communicate with nerves, and what that means.
- "Allergy is the price we pay for having immunity to parasites." What does that mean?
- Delayed food allergies: the majority of food allergies fall into this category, which makes it so difficult for patients (and doctors for that matter) to figure out which foods are causing them so much trouble.
- How foods passing through the gastrointestinal tract can cause problems all along the way, plus anywhere in the body they're allowed to enter.
- Concomitant foods only cause problems when another (and different kind) of allergen are present.
- Synergistic reactions occur when two foods are eaten at the same meal and cause problems but don't when they're eaten alone.
- The most common food allergies.
- Wheat and gluten allergy and sensitivity: why it's so under diagnosed today.
- Phenolics: what they are, where they're found, and why they're important.
Module 3 — Inhalant and Other Allergies and Sensitivities
- This Module covers just about anything you can be allergic or sensitive to that hasn't already been covered.
- How to tell what you might be reacting to by when your symptoms appear.
- Probably more about pollen than you ever thought you would learn!
- What kinds of trees are likely to cause more allergy problems than others.
- How climate change is affecting the typical allergy season.
- What plant terpenes are and why they're important.
- Why does fresh-cut grass smell good to some people but makes others feel terrible?
- All about mold, especially the type that can grow in your house.
- Pet allergies and sensitivities. We love them but sometimes they drive us crazy!
- Why cat dander can be so bad.
- House dust is considered organic dirt; you'll be shocked when you learn what's in it.
- Dust mites: they don't bite but they can and do cause big allergy problems.
- Perfumes and all things smelly.
- Oral allergy syndrome: what it is and what it means.
- Chemical sensitivity: the five types.
- Indoor and outdoor air pollution.
- Nickel allergy wasn't a thing 25 years ago, now it's huge.
- Can you be sensitive to things like viruses, bacteria, and parasites?
- Autoimmune sensitive is discussed again.
Modules 4A & 4B — How to Run a SET-DB™ Practice
- Two Modules that explain how to implement and run a SET-DB™ practice.

- A video showing how to perform the clearing procedure.
- A video showing how to check for combination sensitivities on a ZYTO Elite.
- How to use the forms to better manage your patients' care.
- Why the ZYTO Elite and Select aren't like standard lab tests.
- Why the best results always come from the first scan.
- Advice on office flow to maximize efficiency and minimize your steps.
- How to scan items into a Session via the Auxiliary Item button.
- Each recommended program is discussed.
- What to do in the event a patient didn't follow the avoidance recommendations.

Dr. Teryl Boothe
I was extremely grateful when Dr. Boothe announced that he had created a course for SET-DB. Learning from a manual isn't as effective for me, although it is a nice reference that we can easily look back on. This course was simple and easy to get through. I appreciate the time and effort Dr. Boothe put into this. Throughout the modules, things began to "click" for me and made more sense. They had very thorough explanations about the different types of sensitivities, what happens to and within the body. This class is something that I plan to review over and over, it is a lot of information and something new sticks out every time. Since I have completed the course, I am now a Certified SET-DB Practitioner, it not only makes me feel more confident executing the treatments, but my clients also seem to have more trust in me when they see my certification. Not only was the course great for my own knowledge, but it has helped to educate clients, as well implementing new ways to market the program.
