BioSET by Dr. Ellen Cutler
I took several seminars from Dr. Ellen Cutler in the late-1990s–early 2000s, after deciding NAET wasn’t for me. The seminars were called “Winning the War Against Allergies” series.
At that time Dr. Cutler’s approach was simple: sensitivity elimination clearings first, enzyme therapy second, and homeopathic detoxification third. This simple approach became the starting point for my very effective SET-DB™ Fibromyalgia Treatment Program.
However, like NAET, there were things I didn’t like.

What I like about BioSET
- I thought it was an even-better thought-out approach to treating sensitivities than NAET.
- Her simple approach to enzyme therapy and homeopathic detoxification was easy to implement. You didn’t need to be a homeopath or a biochemist.
- Dr. Cutler demonstrated that a four-hour avoidance period was sufficient.
What I didn’t like about BioSET
- The clearing procedure itself was as convoluted as NAET's, because that’s where Dr. Cutler learned it. She did change it a little, but it was still too convoluted for my tastes.
- In the last class I took from her, she had started teaching an at-home procedure. Again, if patients have to work on themselves at home for something they paid you to clear in your office, something’s wrong with what you're doing.
*It is my understanding the name "BioSET" has been sold and Dr. Culter is once again in private practice.
